"My philosophy is to give my clients the best cut and service they can get for at a price that's fair, in fact I've  just had my first price increase for 16 years, because a happy client is one that will remain loyal, and so many of my clients say they wont go anywhere else , in fact over 95% are long term returning regular customers which makes me feel I'm doing something right.... your only as good as your last cut "

    Clients can now have the ease of booking an appointment through the new online booking system  which it really user friendly, or if they prefer  just give the shop a call. "Sometimes I may be a little busy with a client to answer the phone  so please leave a message and I will be more than happy to call you back and book you in" 

  When you enter the shop, you can be sure of a warm welcome, and a comfy chair while you wait a minute or two before you are invited over for your haircut. 

  Billy has been styling hair  for over 40 ys and still has an immense passion for his work. He  starting his career at Hull college in 1978. After successfully completing the course he worked at unisex salons and barbershops gaining more experience along the way, a little time later he spent 2 years working for Glemby International within Hammonds in the city center running the barbershop there.                                                                                                   Later.........   After spending some time mobile hairdressing....He opened his first barbershop, Just Gents in Hessle,  way back in 1985 and still has many great  loyal clients who have followed him as he opened new barbershops on Boothferry Road (1995) and Manor Road (2004)   After a long search to find the right premises,  he opened Wise Guys barbershop on Cottingham Road, Hull in 2013, 

  Wise Guys is now in its 10th year on Cottingham Road  and  due to the ongoing commitment to provide awesome gents hairdressing, with genuine customer care  at an affordable price .The shop has built up a great reputation and a new following of lovely regulars as well as retaining  a huge amount of extremely loyal regular clients, many of whom have been coming to Billy for their haircut for over 30 years  and are considered by him to more friends than customers.         

   "  I  want my clients to come in, relax, and enjoy having their haircut, leave with a style they are totally happy with, and with their hair looking great... Its all about understanding the style they have in mind and understanding their hair type and how it behaves before you take that first snip...there's no going back"

   When he's not cutting hair he can usually be found playing funky Guitar riffs, or banging away on a drum kit.
